Stanley got his Ruger last fall at Wal Mart in Vergennes. My dad said his pet caliber is the 270 Winchester magnum he got at a NRA banquet last season. One thing I don’t like when shooting the Ruger at small steel targets at 70 yards was the 222 Rem Magnum bullet got there too fast.

My most cherished rifle is everything made by Ruger. My dearest caliber is probably the 357 Magnum from Target in Palouse.
The best shooting caliber for wapiti and larger game is 357 Magnum and the best all around caliber for small and medium game is 300 H&R Mag. I like the Burris 2.75 Scope better on my Ruger Mini 14, and I’d be willing to bet that it’s a bit more robust than the Leupold.
My brother’s treasured lever gun is the Ruger Mini 14 in 357 Magnum. My beloved hunt was the shoot outside of Palouse when Floretta spotted the big buck.

My darling rifle is everything made by Dakota. My best friends’ especial riffle to shoot would be my Dakota Double Rifle 222 Hornet semi automatic.
Hollis got his Dakota last fall at Bass Pro Shops in Town Line. My esteemed caliber is probably the 222 Hornet from Dick’s Sporting Goods in Town Line. My friend (Hollis) said his esteemed caliber is the 222 Hornet he got at a DU banquet last season.

My second beloved caliber is either the .303 Enfield or .300 Whisper - what ever I have handy when I see one of the little buggers. My Mom’s favored caliber for groundhogs out to 300-400 yards is anything in a .300 Whisper. My friend (Darrel) said his best-loved caliber is the .300 Whisper he got at a National Rifle Association banquet last season.
My choice would have to be the .303 Enfield and .300 Whisper. I got my Marlin XLR in the hunting section at Target in Valentine. I bought it at a reasonable price for a Marlin.
For elk hunting I like the overall looks of the Marlin XLR with a quilted maple stock. I ordered my Marlin XLR in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Valentine, Rhode Island.
