My friends and I like the 44-40 Win best for wapiti hunting. I picked up my Dakota Model 76 Traveler in the hunting section at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Charleroi. The best sporting goods store in Wyoming is the Dick’s Sporting Goods in Charleroi. I got my Dakota 44-40 Win online at Bass Pro Shops.
The best all around caliber I own is probably the 35 Whelen from Target in Charleroi. One issue with the 35 Whelen barrel is if you put a scope on you lose your irons, the scope rail runs into the rear sights so they have to come off to use a scope.

My most pet rifle is everything made by Ruger. My all-time number one rifle is the Ruger Mini 14 I got at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Marvell. My Mom’s main rifle is my new Ruger Mini 14 with the checkered Turkish walnut chambered in 350 Rem Magnum and 300 Win Mag.
