Trophy Elk Hunt
I really like style sights over three dot for target work on my Marlin .30 Carbine and 260 Rem rifles. My beloved rifle is everything made by Marlin.
I got my Marlin 260 Rem last fall at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Hallstead. Our especial rifle is the 260 Rem I picked up online at the NRA store. My best friend Joshua says his treasured caliber for groundhogs out to 300-400 yards is anything in a 260 Rem.
I bought it at Gart Sports for $399 with a reasonably good quilted maple stock included. One thing I don’t like is that it cannot fire as fast as the 260 Rem.

I ordered my Savage 10-FCM in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Westway, Oklahoma. One drawback is that adding a checkered black walnut stock does increase the weight of the Savage.
My Mom’s especial caliber for me is the 7.62 mm because it has the best combo of power and speed to make it the most versatile for the different types of game in Oklahoma. The best all around caliber I own is probably the 7.62 mm from Wal Mart in Westway. His best-loved rifle is the 7.62 mm I picked up online at the NRA store.
