My Dad’s dearest caliber is the 357 Magnum hands down. One drawback is if you’re a hunter, the ring or the lanyard on the Ruger No. 1-B can snag on a branch or even your own clothing and possibly pop your receiver cover off. My desired rifle is everything made by Ruger. I really like a handy checkered tigerwood stocked Ruger No. 1-B for hunting under 200 yards.

ELK HUNT IDAHO
I like the the 222 Rem Magnum best for buffalo hunting. The best all around caliber I own is probably the .30 Carbine from Dick’s Sporting Goods in Florence. I got my Marlin .30 Carbine at the Pawn Shop in Florence. One thing I don’t like is that huge amounts of power are required to accelerate 222 Rem Magnum projectiles to such speeds.
I got my Marlin in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Florence, Florida. My mother’s darling rifle is my new Marlin 1894C with the checkered american walnut chambered in 222 Rem Magnum and .30 Carbine. My dad said his esteemed caliber is the .30 Carbine he got at a National Wild Turkey Federation banquet last season.
