My brother’s treasured elk rifle (when hunting in Minnesota) is a 243 Winchester. I like higher power scopes as in 4×12 - 4.5×14 on the Remington Mark V Sporter. I got my H&R 243 Winchester at the Pawn Shop in Thiells.
My dad said his pet caliber is the 243 Winchester he got at a Ducks Unlimited banquet last season. The best all around caliber I own is probably the 243 Winchester from Target in Thiells.
My favored rifle is my new Winchester Mark V Sporter with the checkered maple chambered in 7mm WSM and 243 Winchester. One thing I don’t like with this shooter is the Remington price, weighing in at $395, but for that you do get a hand crafted piece of artwork with the checkered maple stock. I got my H&R 7mm WSM online at Bass Pro Shops.
